In the video below, you can see our tin ceiling panels being blasted with a 1000-degree flame. The tin starts to bubble up, but the underlying steel can withstand the heat for an hour plus. The Fire Underwriters Association conducted a similar study using steel at 1400-degree heat, determining it could last an hour and ten minutes without burning.
An average household fire burns at 800 degrees which means that our tin ceiling tiles are capable of containing a fire to just the first floor, giving you plenty of time to get out safely.
